Remove the vocals from any song and sing over the real backing track
PitchCraft separates a song into vocals, drums, bass and the rest with AI, then keeps the stems inside a singing trainer: mute the original singer, sing over the real instruments, see your pitch against the original vocal line on the graph, read the lyrics as they scroll, and download the result as a karaoke or instrumental WAV. Free accounts get 3 separations every 7 days.
What one upload gives you
Upload an MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A or similar file and in a few minutes you get:
- Four stems: vocals, drums, bass and everything else, or six stems that also isolate guitar and piano.
- Lyrics transcribed automatically and synced word by word, scrolling in the pitch graph.
- Optionally the key, the tempo in BPM and a chord ribbon above the graph.
- A mixer with volume, mute and solo for every stem, and transposition by semitones.
Why a vocal remover inside a trainer beats a plain stem splitter
A stem splitter hands you files and stops. In PitchCraft the separated vocal becomes the target line on the graph: you mute it, sing the phrase yourself, and see where your curve leaves the original singer's. Loop the hard bar and record a take to listen back with your voice as an extra channel.
Transpose, mix, loop
If the song is too high or too low, shift the whole mix by semitones into your vocal range; the chord names move with it. Set the band's balance the way you like, solo the bass to learn a line, or keep a little of the original vocal as a guide. Any section can be looped.
Download an instrumental, a karaoke version or your cover
Download mix (WAV) renders exactly what you hear, including fader levels, mutes, transposition and your own recorded take, into a single file in your browser. Mute the vocal stem for an instrumental, keep the lyrics on screen for karaoke, or keep your recording in to share a cover. The stems themselves can be downloaded as a zip and saved to an in-browser library that reloads them instantly.
Formats, limits and time
Free accounts can upload files up to 50 MB and songs up to 10 minutes, with 3 separations per 7 days and four stems. Pro raises that to 30 separations a month, 300 MB, 20 minutes, six stems and priority in the queue; credit packs cover occasional use and never expire. A four-stem run takes a few minutes; six stems take roughly twice as long, and turning off lyrics transcription speeds either up.
Privacy and copyright
Your song is uploaded, processed on PitchCraft's server and deleted immediately afterwards; the result is streamed to your browser once and no copy is kept. Separate only music you have the right to use, which for practice means songs you own or are licensed to play. Live pitch detection never uploads anything.
Frequently asked questions
Is the vocal remover free?
Partly. Every account gets 3 separations per 7 days free; the Pro subscription and credit packs add more, longer songs and six stems. Singing over the result, the graph, lyrics and the WAV download cost nothing extra.
How clean is the separation?
On most pop, rock and acoustic recordings the vocal comes out clean enough to mute completely. Dense mixes, heavy reverb and vocals that double an instrument can leave some bleed in the other stems. The six-stem mode separates guitar and piano, which helps when you want to solo a single instrument.
Why do I need to sign in with Google?
Separation runs on a server, and the sign-in is what ties the free allowance to you. The trainer itself works without any account.
Can I paste a YouTube or Spotify link?
No. PitchCraft works with audio files you upload, so that you only separate music you are entitled to use.
How long does it take?
Usually a few minutes for a four-stem separation of a typical song, longer for six stems or a long file. You can leave the page; a separation that was interrupted can be picked up when you come back.
Which formats can I upload?
MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A and most other common audio formats, up to 50 MB (300 MB with Pro).
